Rex Everhart in Naked City (1962)

from: Classic TV History

Rex Everhart (Friday the 13th) who's more known for his extensive work as a voice actor, starred uncredited in an episode of the TV cop show Naked City.

“Today the Man Who Kills the Ants Is Coming” – perhaps the best of Howard Rodman’s wonderfully opaque episode titles – takes place mostly in the police squadroom. Among the assembled cops there, we can catch quick glimpses of the Tony-nominated Broadway actor Rex Everhart (at right, with Milt Kamen).
For fans of this show, this page has a whole slew of rare shots of actors who would become well known. Most of them had their start in this show, mostly all in uncredited.

  1. Ah a very nice photo & mini tribute indeed.

Mr. Everhart will of course always & forever be Enis the kind & husky truck driver with a Stanhope, NJ loaned truck to drive for over two days in the film while they filmed his scenes. However as you noted, he was a very accomplished American voice-over artist befre he passed, most notable voicing the father Maurice of Belle in Disney's 1991-released Beauty & The Beast. its still a fine Disney animated feature and I beliee their only one ever nominated for Best picture at the Academy Awards. Not een The Lion King, which I'll admit i a superior Disney picture, got that detinctive honor. :)

So congrats to him. I hope he is happy where ever he is...
