Okay, I must admit that I love these things and love seeing the different adverts for the movies on different networks. Here's one from 1989 on "Action Theater" that is actually very entertaining. If anyone has these nifty TV adverts please upload and share them!

Like many I started REALLY watching television as a VERY young lad around '88 or so like many here.
There was a station in Shreveport with MANY rare southern television spots for the fullscreen censored Friday the 13th early one premieres. I forgot the channel's name, though. It may have been KBLI, but I dunno. Anyway very cool!
I think I still had some spots on o0ld VHS tapes I had in storage (and subsequently threw away). I had an entire marathon taped on an SLP mode tape from 1992 or so with TV spots and shit. I watched it again in like 1999 and finally discarded in 2005 or so without thought as to what was on them.
DeleteDude man I used to have a FABULOUS "taping trading circle" thing from this one dude from Orange Groove Lane or something which was a HII nod and it had a fuck ton of older rare cable early Friday television spots & such.
ReplyDeleteI wish I could have gave it to Jack now. :( Sadly I threw out a lot of my medium to lesser quality dubs once the standard def DVD revolution came to pass here in North America, which I now sadly regret. :(
